ortaçağ latincesiyle yazılmış bir şiirdir ve carmina burana'nın bir parçasıdır. türkçe çevirisi 'biz tavernada' olarak çevirilebilir. carmina burana (benediktbeuren'in şarkıları) 254 şiirin bulunduğu genellikle 11 ve 12.yy'dan metinleri içeren bir elyazmadır. latince ile beraber ortaçağ almancasıyla birçoğu goliard (avrupa'da 12. ve 13. yy'daki latince hiciv şiir yazan ruhban sınıfı) ve öğrencileri tarafından satirik bir dille yazılmışlardır. metinler ortaçağ yaşamını, inançlarını ve içki geleneğini barındırmaktadır.
1935-46 yıllarında carmina burana 24 şiir olarak carl orff adında bir besteci tarafından kantat şeklinde bestelenmiştir ve 1937 yılı frankfurt'ta orkestra olarak sergilenmiştir. en ünlü şarkısı o fortuna'dır. filmlerden kulaklarımız bu şarkıya çok aşinadır.
